Funeral services for Orvis John Huddleston will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church West Rogers Campus with Pastor Adam Stang, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Orvis John Huddleston, age 63, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his residence.

OJ was born November 1, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George Clifford and Elsie Fern (Johnson) Huddleston. He grew up and received his education in Skiatook. OJ married Charlotta Lynn Purdom on August 17, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada making their home in Skiatook until moving to Pawhuska fifteen years ago. OJ was employed with the Tulsa Fire Department from 1981 to 2007 when he retired and he owned and operated Skiatook Tire Center from 1982 to 2005. OJ was also current owner of OJ Trucking since 2009 and was a lifetime rancher and farmer. OJ liked socializing with friends and family was active with the Skiatook Roundup Club where he served as Past commander and was a lifetime board member.

OJ was preceded in death by his mother and father and by one sister: Billie Evelyn Huddleston.

OJ is survived by his wife Charlotta, children: Christel Huddleston and grandson Jerry John VanCuren, Johnna Huddleston and grandson Kaden Parker Huddleston Kehler, brother: Gale Huddleston, sister: Patricia Latty, sister-in-law: DeLonda Williamson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Darren Latty, Jeffery Ervin, Justin Patrick, Michael Whitehead, Stan Williamson and Robert Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bud Wilson, Justin Killion, Jesse Huddleston and Jake Wilson.

The family of Orvis John Huddleston entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
