Georgia Sue (Dunlap) Cunningham, age 89, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Georgia was born July 9, 1934, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Dennison and Isabel (Brown) Dunlap. Georgia grew up and received her education in Florida where she graduated from Saint Louis Covenant School in Pinecrest Florida.Georgia worked for ORA at Oral Roberts University in the 70’s. Georgia married Roger Lynn Cunningham on June 30, 1956, in Kansas City making their home in Tulsa until moving to Skiatook in 2020. Georgia was a homemaker, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, going to concerts and Branson with her husband, Roger and loved going to Pow-wow’s and Osage ceremonial dances for years and years. Georgia was of the Catholic Faith.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Dennison and Isabel Whitehorn, and by two brothers.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Roger of the home, four children, Tony Cunningham, Denise Oliver, Kevin Cunningham and Robert Cunningham, sister, Wynona Whitehorn, six grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be, Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers, Moon River by Andy Williams, El Paso by Marty Robbins, Whazhazhe (A song for my people)
Pallbearers are Tony Cunningham, John Cunningham, Ricky Casillas, Clayton Casillas, Mason Walters and Eric Thomas.
