Alyson Paige Lerch age 22 loving daughter, sister, cousin, best friend took her final breath on Saturday May 27, 2017. She walked for the first time right into the arms of Jesus. Free of pain, seizures and her lifelong disabilities. Alyson was born February 17, 1995 in Springfield,Illnois to Bruce and Michelle Lerch. Alyson was diagnosed with a brain disorder at 6 months of age called Lissencephaly. Doctors said she had a grim future and not expected to survive beyond 3 years of age. She persevered and beat the odds. Alyson was a happy child, teen, and young adult despite all the medical needs that she had to endure. She loved to be around everyone, enjoyed all aspects of life and lived day to day without a care in the world. Alyson loved to play with lights and sounds toys, especially jibber jabber and loved playing with her brother Cody and sister Bree-Anna.
Alyson attended Skiatook High School and graduated in 2013, while there, she made a tremendous impact on everyone she met. She loved to attend class with her friends, go to the gym to watch and play and the sound of ripping paper. Alyson had a part in changing school procedures for special needs students, was an honorary queen candidate on the homecoming court her senior year and was voted Prom Queen for class of 2013.
Despite all that Alyson endured she continued to convey her contagious smile and laughter. She was loved by many and will be missed deeply.
Alyson is survived by her Father Bruce Lerch, Mother Michelle Lerch, Sister Bree-Anna Lerch all of Skiatook. Brother Cody Lerch Fiancé’ Shelby Dodson of Hinesville Georgia. Aunt Teri (husband Jeff) Hartman of Skiatook, Aunt Linda (husband Darrel) McClanahan St. Ann MO, Aunt Shirley (husband Don) Archer, Running Springs CA, two special grammas, Maxine Jordan of Skiatook and Jean Lucas of Plant City FL,  several cousins and an abundance of friends.
Alyson was preceded in death by her grandparents Alice McVey and Louis & Emily Lerch and special pawpaw Robert Lucas.
