Funeral services for Beatrice Elizabeth Gosney will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Avant United Methodist Church with Rev. Shelly Daigle and Pastor Barry Gott, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Beatrice E. Gosney, age 90, of Avant passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at her Avant residence.

Bea was born September 2, 1927 in Schulter, Oklahoma to William Edward and Ruth Violet (Reddell) Sains. Bea grew up and received her education in Avant where she graduated in 1945. Bea married Jesper Franklin Gosney on December 18, 1947 in Sperry making their home in Avant. Bea was a homemaker of the home and a mother. Bea was active helping people and working with the Senior Citizens. Bea had a passion to help people during her life. Bea was a member of the Avant Methodist Church.

Bea was preceded in death by her mother and father and husband Jesper,

Bea is survived by her two sons: Steven Gosney and wife Janita and Randy Gosney and wife Lisa, sister: Betty Allen and brother: Edward Sains, four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Serenaded By Angels” performed by Sharon Harper and Karon Roberts, “Shall We Gather At The River”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “Are You Washed In The Blood” and “Church In The Wildwood”.

Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Fingerlin, Mick Hunt, Herb Forbes, Kenneth Landis, Jimmy Hargrave and Howard Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Greg Crutchfield and many family members.

Bea will be missed by all who knew her.

The family of Beatrice Elizabeth Gosney entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
