Don Edward Hamilton

Don Edward Hamilton, age 76, of Skiatook, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 in Tulsa.

Celebration of the life of Don Hamilton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Nielsen, officiating. Private family interment will be held in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton funeral Home.

Don was born February 20, 1942 at the Davis Hospital in Jefferson County in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Thompson Keene and Loraine (McGlone) Hamilton. Don grew up and received his education in Arkansas where he graduated high school. Don also attended University of Nevada Las Vegas where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and also graduated with honors from Clark County Community College in Las Vegas. Don married Sharon Kay Carruthers on December 31, 1974 in Las Vegas where they made their home until moving to Skiatook in October of 1999.

Don was employed in the State of Nevada where he was a Social Worker and also in Texas. Don attended the Skiatook Presbyterian Church and was a member of the V.F. W. in Skiatook. Don loved to fly model airplanes, was a Ham Radio Operator and loved reading.

Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother: Ray Hamilton.

Don is survived by his wife Sharon, brother: Lee Hamilton of California, sister: Kathleen Talley of State of Washington and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the service will be: “His Hand In Mine”, “In My Father’s House”, “How Great Thou Art”, “Over The Rainbow” and “Anniversary Song”.
