Funeral services for Dorothy Pippin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at the First Baptist Church West Rogers Campus with Rev. Gary Butler and Dr. Ray Earley officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born August 9, 1927 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Omer and Alta (McLendon) Reed. Dorothy grew up and received her education in Wagoner where she graduated in 1945. Dorothy married John W. Pippin Sr. on October 9, 1945 in Joplin, Missouri making their home in Wagoner until 1947 when they moved to Skiatook. In 1982 they moved to Langley and returned to Skiatook in 1994 where they continued to make their home. Dorothy was a homemaker, active member of the Skiatook American Legion Auxiliary for over 65 years, Girl Scout Leader, Boy Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband John W. Pippin Sr., sisters: Peggy Ginnings and Beatrice Stack, brother: Charles Reed, grandchildren: Jeremy Vernon, Joshua Brewer, Joey Ceska and great grandson: Nicky Pippin.

Dorothy is survived by her children: John Pippin, Patricia Ceska and husband Chris, Shirley Hutchinson and Janet Underwood and husband Bob, one brother: Conlay Reed and wife Alice, one brother-in-law Clarence Pippin and wife Patsy, eight grandchildren: Michael Pippin, Candace Lara, Dottie Alexander, Angela Mitchell, George Ceska, Angel Brewer, Ashley Totten and Bobby Underwood, twenty-two great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the services are: Bob Underwood, Edgar Lara, Nick Mitchell, Paul Mitchell, Mike Pippin and Mike Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are: Robert Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Joe Neimeyer and Jacob Mitchell.

Music for the services will be: “We Shall Behold Him”, “I Just Seen Jesus”, “When I’m Gone” and “When I Open My Eyes In Heaven.”

The family of Dorothy Pippin entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
