Edward Calvin Deason

Funeral services for Calvin Deason will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. Private family interment will be in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Calvin was born January 8, 1933 in Cowlington, Oklahoma to Cecil and Lois (Berkley) Deason. Calvin grew up and received his education in Tulsa graduating from Tulsa Central in 1951. Calvin married Betty Joline “Betty Jo” Horner on September 8, 1951 in Tulsa making their home in Skiatook since 1968. Calvin was self-employed Electrical Mechanical Repairman and retired in 2010. Calvin liked quail hunting, fishing, he loved baseball, softball, golf, shooting skeet, traveling all over the United States and had also traveled to London and Canada. Calvin was a family man spending time with his family and friends.

Calvin was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife Betty Jo, four brothers and by two sisters.

Calvin is survived by his two children: Doug Deason and Joyce Deason, brothers: Buel , Vernon, Gary  and JD, sisters: Beverly, Nettie, Bettye and Kathey, two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “When We All Get to Heaven” and “Beulah Land” performed by: Karon Roberts and Sharon Harper, “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Take Me Out To The Ball Park.”

The family of Calvin Deason would like to thank the Staff at Porta Caeli House for their most up lifting time while with their father during his final days. Words may not say enough for how we were treated and the excellent care and professionalism you all have showed to our family, Thank You.
