Graveside services for Jean M. Wood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa with Pastor Rick Loggins, officiating. Interment will follow in the South Heights Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Jean M. Wood, age 98, of Skiatook, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at the North County Senior Living in Collinsville.

Jean was born October 22, 1918 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Robert F. and Iva Pearl (Baker) Fitzgerald. Jean grew up and received her education in Sapulpa where she graduated in 1936. Jean married Lloyd Jackson Bradford on August 1, 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1972. Jean later married William Eugen Wood in December of 1987 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Jean was employed with Barnsdall Public Schools where she worked in the cafeteria and had also worked for Frankoma Pottery where she helped get the business going and was one of the first employees. Jean liked to crochet, shop, cook and was an accomplished seamstress.

Jean was preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister, one brother and by one grandchild.

Jean is survived by her three children: Betty Allen, Bobby Jack Bradford and Angelita Vaughn, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Jean Wood entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
