Marion Eldon Anthony Jr., age 82, of Avant went to be with his Lord and Savior and was reunited with his wife Flora Mae on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Bartlesville.

Funeral services celebrating the life Of Jr Anthony will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Barnsdall with Pastor Barry Gott and Pastors Rick and Kathy Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Marion Eldon Anthony Jr was born June 28, 1937 in Avant, Oklahoma to Pearl L. Newcomb and Marion Eldon Anthony Sr. Jr. grew up and received his education in Avant where he graduated with the class of 1955. Jr. married Flora Mae DeShazer on May 18, 1956 making their home in Avant. Jr. worked for National Tank where he was a welder. Jr. had a calling into the ministry in 1967 where he was minister at the Barnsdall Full Gospel Church and was preacher at the Avant House of Prayer from 1969 until his retirement in 2009. Jr. liked watching all kinds of ball games. Jr. was past president of the Independent Assembly’s and attended the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Barnsdall.

Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; Marion and Pearl Anthony, wife Flora Mae (DeShazer) Anthony, one son; Chuck Miller and by two brothers.

Jr. is survived by his three children; Rick Anthony and wife Janell, Karen South and husband David and Kevin Anthony and wife; Jeane, one sister; Wanda Slover, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the service will be; “Dancing In The Sky” and “I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Holy”.

Pallbearers for the service will be; Heath Anthony, Corey Anthony, Drew Anthony, Vance Miller, Brian Miller and Rob Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be; Jim Robertson, Bob Kellogg, J.A. Murrie, Joe Goodin and Eric Priest.

The family of Marion Eldon Anthony Jr. entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
