Memorial services for Milton Dale Cowlishaw will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Neighbors officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Milton Dale Cowlishaw, age 84, of Edmond, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 in Edmond.

Milton was born December 14, 1934 in Wolco, Oklahoma to William Ray and Grace Lida (Thompson) Cowlishaw. Milton grew up in Skiatook, Oklahoma where he graduated High School with the class of 1953. Milton served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1962. Milton also attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Oklahoma State, as well as the University of Tulsa where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree.  Milton married Josephine Thayer on December 9, 1960 in Skiatook later making there their home in, Kansas City, Houston, Tulsa and then Edmond Ok, in 2000. Milton was employed with TD Williamson, Inc. where he dedicated his entire career of over 40 years, retiring as director of sales.  Milton loved woodworking, being the neighborhood handyman and playing golf. Milton was a people person never meeting a stranger and always greeting people with a hello and smile. Milton followed all sports.

Milton was preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife Josephine, sister Maxine Cartwright, and brothers’ Willard and Darrell Cowlishaw.

Milton is survived by three children; Greg Cowlishaw, Karen McTiernan and Dennis Carlson, seven grandchildren including Jimmy, Kalynne, Kiersten and Kendall, five great grandchildren, brother Willis Cowlishaw, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music selections for the services will be; “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”.

The family of Milton Cowlishaw entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
