Ralph K. Harris, age 75, of Claremore, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. 

Ralph was born November 12, 1941 in Tulsa, OK to Dale K. Harris and Virchie Harris. Ralph attended Ramona and Skiatook schools, graduating with the 1959 Skiatook High class.  Ralph graduated from Northeastern State College with degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics.

Ralph served with the U. S. Army from 1965-67, stationed in Washington, DC with the Defense Intelligence Agency.  Ralph was a chemist and analyst for Shell Development in Houston, Texas, retiring in 1991 after 24 years.  After retiring, Ralph returned to live in Skiatook.  Ralph was very active in DeMolays, Masonic Lodge, and Shriners, both in Texas and Oklahoma, serving as an officer, advisor and coach.  He attained the 50-year Masonic service award several years ago.

Ralph had a heart attack and a stroke which left him disabled.  In 2014, Ralph was accepted as a resident at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore.  Ralph made many friends and loved participating in all of the activities at the Veterans Center.

Ralph is survived by his brother, Wayne (Stacey) of Coral Springs, FL, two step-sisters, Judi Jones Corbitt of Austin, TX and Myrna Jones Smith of Katy, TX, a step-brother, Bill Jones of Stockton, CA and a nephew, Ken Harris of Wellington, FL.

The family of Ralph K. Harris entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner Hospitals for Children (shrinerhospitals.org).
