Funeral services for Raymond Edward Rose will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with Rev. dale Nielson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton funeral Home.
Raymond Edward Rose, age 95, of Skiatook passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at his Skiatook residence.
Raymond was born February 18, 1922 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Everett and Fannie Beulah (McNally) Rose. Raymond grew up and received his education in Sand Springs graduating from Charles Page in 1942. Raymond entered into the united State Army Air Corp in 1942 and received his honorable discharge in 1945. Raymond married Doralene Vera Davis on July 29, 1960 in Turley where they made their home until moving to Skiatook in 1965. Raymond was employed with American Airlines in 1955 where he was an Airline Mechanic and retired in 1988 after 33 years of service and perfect attendance. Raymond was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Raymond liked gardening , farming and working cattle.
Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and father, 8 brothers and by one sister.
Raymond is survived by his wife Doralene of the home, children: Judy Semrad, Jeanne Pawelczyk, Phillip Barnard, Pamela Prather, Raymond Rose II and Sheryl Headrick, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: Amazing Grace performed by Bryan Joe Garrison, Last Dance and The Old Rugged Cross.
Pallbearers will be: Samuel Headrick, Gavin Rose, Micah Barnard, Luke Barnard, Jared Barnard and Bryan Joe Garrison.
The family of Raymond Edward Rose entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
