Shirley Brown Obituary

Shirley Brown, age 70, Mayor of Avant, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her Avant residence.

Shirley was born January 23, 1948 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Dale and Mary (Martin) Priest.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Mary Priest.

Shirley is survived by her husband Leonard "Rob" Brown, her three children: Lisa Oldmixon and husband Chris of Nacogdoches, TX, Chris Boudreaux and husband Jack of Carriere, MS and Eugene Jr, Dablestein and wife Jennifer of San Diego, CA, siblings, Leonard Priest and wife Doris, Perry Priest and Paula Brown and husband Russell, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two stepchildren: Richard Brown and Stephanie Roach and husband Chris, eight step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Over the years Shirley has been a small business owner, food and beverage director and currently the Mayor of Avant. Shirley was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) of Skiatook. Shirley was a wife, caring and generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. First Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) of Skiatook.
