Funeral services for Charlene Black will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dale Nielson officiating. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery Sperry under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Charlene Black, age 85, of Edmond, Passed Away at 1:47 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2018 at the Integris Hospice House in Edmond.

Charlene was born September 25, 1933 in Sperry, Oklahoma to Charles Edward and Marjorie Ellen (Eveland) Bennett. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook graduating in 1952. Charlene married Sidney Leroy Black on July 18, 1953 in Sperry making their home in Skiatook until moving to Edmond in 1966. She made her home there since that time. She was a homemaker and mother and she enjoyed square dancing, working in the yard, and socializing with friends and family. She was a member of the Skiatook Presbyterian Church.

Charlene was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles and Marjorie, husband: Sidney, and one sister: Pauline Edens.

Charlene is survived by her children: Vanessa Lea Jackson, and Paul Gregory Black, sister: Leta Julien, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “When I Get To Where I’m Going”, “I Did It My Way” and “Over The Rainbow”.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Larry Julien, Jordan Black, Todd Thomason, Scott Johnson, Derek Dixon, and Greg Black.

Charlene Volunteered for E.A.R.C. (Employment And Residential Center) serving adults with developmental disabilities. So those who wish to contribute in her memory may do so the E.A.R.C. P.O. Box 268 Edmond, OK 73083
