Collinsville

Beatrice Estella Cribbet, affectionately known as Bea or Nanny, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Born on December 28, 1926, in Westfork, Arkansas, to Bill and Bertha Winn, Bea lived a life marked by devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to her community.

Bea spent 25 years working alongside her husband, Gayle Cribbet, as the proud owners of the Otasco store in Skiatook. Their partnership in business mirrored the partnership they shared in life, bringing them joy and fulfillment until her retirement in 1986. She fondly remembered her time at the store, where she built lasting relationships with both customers and colleagues.

Bea grew up in Monet, Missouri, where she received her education and graduated high school. Later, she pursued some college classes, exemplifying her belief in lifelong learning. Throughout her life, she maintained a love for education that inspired those around her.

A dedicated member of the Methodist Church in Skiatook and the Skiatook Christian Church, Bea's faith was a central part of her life. She enjoyed engaging with her community and found solace in her spiritual connections.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Bea had a wide array of interests. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and fishing, cherishing the outdoor experiences that allowed her to connect with nature and her loved ones. Most importantly, she reveled in spending time with her family, offering her love and nurturing spirit as a caregiver.

Bea is survived by her son, Butch Cribbet; her granddaughter, GayleAnn Cantrell, and her husband, Brad Cantrell; and her great-granddaughters, Chelsea and Abby. She is also remembered by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gayle Cribbet; her parents, William "Bill" Harrison Winn and Bertha Mandaline (Neal) Winn; and her siblings, Christine Durfey, Oland Winn, Louise Sargent, Wynona Morelock, and Elsworth Winn.

A graveside service will be held on May 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, Oklahoma, as friends and family gather to honor and celebrate Bea’s remarkable life. As we reflect on her legacy, we are reminded of her warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her. Bea will be profoundly missed but cherished in the hearts of those who hold her memory dear.
