Billy Gene Ingram

Billy Gene Ingram, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 93. He was born on June 11, 1933, in an empty box car in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Arthur Givens and Bessie Lee Newton) Ingram.

Billy grew up in Henryetta and received his education there. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. In his working years, he was self-employed as a roofer and also worked as a fishing guide, combining hard work with a deep connection to the outdoors.

He found great enjoyment in fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, and he was especially known for his love of fishing. These simple and meaningful pleasures helped shape a life centered on family, work, and the outdoors he loved.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Suzan Ann Foster; his sister, Cynthia Marie Barnett; and his brothers, Kenneth Walter Ingram and Cecil Earl Ingram. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Michael Dewayne Evans and his wife Cristy, Ginifer Lynn Evans, Jeffrey Ray Ingram, and Sally Elizabeth McClellan and her husband Dakota. His family circle continues through his great-grandchildren, Mayson Breeann Brown and her husband Carson, Dustie Leeann Evans, Ashlynn Rayeann Simms and her husband Jesse, Waylon Gene Cheney Rayson Ingram, Charlie Ingram, and twins Truman Francis Brown and Tinley Dawn Brown. He will be remembered with love by all who shared in his life and the many family moments he treasured.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Givens; his mother, Bessie Lee Ingram; his brothers, Forest Ben Ingram, Edward Arthur Ingram, Roscoe Ingram, and Donald Ray Ingram; his sisters, Linda Lee Ingram and Delores Bracy; his sons, Stephen Gene Ingram and Billy Ray Ingram; and his great-granddaughter, Jaden Elizabeth Gruenwald.

Billy Gene Ingram lived a long life marked by service, hard work, and devotion to the people and pastimes he loved most. His memory will remain a lasting blessing to his family and all who knew him.
