Billy Ralph Reamy, a devoted family man, skilled farrier, and passionate racehorse owner and trainer, passed away on June 4, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on August 3, 1933, in Clarksville, Arkansas to Charles Jasper and Elsie Alma (Hardgrove) Reamy, Billy lived a full and dedicated life marked by hard work, service, and a deep love for his family and interests.

Growing up and receiving his education in Arkansas, Billy demonstrated an early commitment to both his community and his country. He proudly served in the United States Army, where he dedicated himself until receiving an honorable discharge, a testament to his sense of duty and honor.

Billy’s professional life was closely tied to his horses, a passion that extended beyond his career into his personal pleasures. As a farrier and racehorse owner and trainer, he nurtured and cared for these animals with great skill and devotion. His love for horses and cows was well-known among those who had the privilege of knowing him. Alongside his affinity for animals, Billy cherished music, especially gospel tunes, which he would listen to for hours every Sunday morning. He also enjoyed the simple joys of good food, relishing its place in both family gatherings and personal moments.

In his personal life, Billy experienced both love and loss. He was first married to Elsie Cannady in 1951, who preceded him in death. In 1975, he married Patricia Self, who also passed before him. Finally, in 2012, he wed Mary Lee Archer, who sadly departed in 2022. These relationships were a cornerstone of his life, reflecting his capacity for enduring love and partnership.

Billy is survived by his two children, Elaine Lesher and Douglas Reamy; his sisters Janice Forbes, Sandra Bowman, Charlotte McAlvain, Joan Gail Tanner, and Jennifer Harrington; and his brothers Jackie Reamy, Timothy Reamy, and Anthony Reamy. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom carry forward his legacy of kindness and dedication.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Elsie Reamy; his wives Elsie, Patricia, and Mary Lee; as well as five sisters and six brothers, all remembered with respect and affection.
