Cathryn Lynnea Wallis, of Hominy, born August 18, 1962, in Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 63 years old, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Cathryn, known warmly as Cathy to those closest to her, grew up in Uvalde, Texas, where she graduated from high school in 1980. Her early years were marked by the close bonds she shared with her family and the simple joys of small-town life in Texas. Cathy’s gentle and industrious nature guided her throughout her life, reflected in the ways she cared for loved ones and her commitment to improving the lives of others.
Her chosen career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Nurses Aide was a testament to her giving spirit and compassion for people. Cathy touched the lives of countless individuals through her dedication and selflessness, always offering comfort and care when it was needed most. Colleagues and patients alike remember her for her gentle manner, thoughtful service, and quiet strength.
Beyond her professional life, Cathy’s heart was rooted deeply in her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Wallis, two children, Josh Wallis and wife Brandy and Janna Wallis, and fiancé Britt. Cathy also leaves behind her sisters, Crystal Zigler and Connie Cannon.
Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Josh, Ayden, Joshua, Kensea, Brooklyn, Aaron and Noah.
Cathy’s creative soul found joy in arts and crafts, gardening, and crocheting. Her home was often filled with the colors of her handiwork, and she took great pleasure in nurturing plants and beautifying her surroundings. For friends and family, Cathy's handcrafted gifts and the warmth of her welcoming home will be treasured memories.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Don and Marjorie Anderson, whose influence shaped much of who she became and whose memory she carried close to her heart throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to join in remembering Cathryn at a visitation on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sien - Shelton Funeral Home, located at 1000 S Lombard Ln, Skiatook, OK 74070. A funeral service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Skiatook Freewill Baptist Church, 2053 West Rogers Boulevard, Skiatook, OK 74070. She will be laid to rest at A.J. Powell Cemetery, Oklahoma 99, Hominy, OK.
Cathryn Lynnea Wallis will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother and sister, a gentle friend, and a compassionate caregiver. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the love and memories she leaves behind.
