Cathy Renee Ellis

Cathy Renée Ellis, 68, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 26, 2026. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her husband, children, and sister.

Cathy was born on May 28,1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Allen and LaVerna Miller. She grew up in Skiatook, Oklahoma and was a member of the Skiatook High School graduating class of 1976, but not before marrying the love of her life, David Wayne Ellis, on December 31, 1975.

Cathy and David made their home in Skiatook where they raised their 3 children, Adrea, David and Brady. Cathy was a devoted homemaker and also worked as a paraprofessional at Marrs Elementary for 20 years. Her greatest joy in life was undoubtedly being “Grammie” to her 9 grandkids. Cathy and David celebrated 50 years of marriage on December 31, 2025.

No obituary can adequately describe the woman she was. Her life reflected the grace of Christ in countless quiet and meaningful ways, and the truest measure of her legacy is found in the people she loved and pointed toward Him.

Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, LaVerna Lobaugh. She is survived by her father, Allen Miller, husband, David, daughter and son-in-law Adrea and Joe Green and their children Cannon and Ryker, son and daughter-in-law David and Nikki Ellis and their 4 sons, Cadence, Huxley, Rupert and Fitzwinston, her son and daughter-in-law Brady and Rachel Ellis and their children, Koris, Juniper and Oakland, her sister, Denise Miller, her sister Vicki and husband Jason Yarbrough, brother Allen Miller Jr., and brother Chris Brannaman and wife Kathleen, a host of extended family, and innumerable friends that she claimed as family.

A celebration of life will be held at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta on July 31, 2026, at 12:00pm. The family invites all who knew her to attend and come as you are. Casual attire is encouraged. Visitation will be held at Sien-Shelton Funeral Home in Skiatook on July 30th, 2026, from 6:00-8:00pm.
