Cynthia Ann Canady, age 73, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:58 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at her Skiatook residence.
Cynthia was born December 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois to Walter Roy and Thelma Jean (Claxton) Mead. Cynthia grew up and received her education in Tulsa where she graduated in 1969 from McClain High School. Cynthia married Kenneth Eugene Canady on November 11, 1968, in Tulsa, making their home in Skiatook. Cynthia was employed with Asbury United Methodist Church, Lewis Travel and loved taking care of her grandchildren. Cynthia loved to go camping, fishing, cooking for family events, playing rummy and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma Mead, husband Kenneth Canady, two brothers, and by one son: Kenny.
Cynthia is survived by her children, Lisa Bales and husband William, Eddie Canady, Dennis Canady and wife Cammi, Rocky Canady and wife Kim, and Lisa Young, three brothers: Roy Mead, Troy Mead and Kenneth Mead, sister: Jean Almy, 13 grandchildren: Kristin, Kaelyn, Mavrick, Wyatt, Kallie, Katie, John Wayne, Jarrett, Wylie, Kynlee, Railee, Maislynn and Chavelle, two great grandchildren: Miles and Hayes, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
