George Dean Harrison

George Dean Harrison, 92, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, passed away on September 21, 2026, in Tulsa. He was born on September 17, 1934, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, to Millard Conway Harrison and Leota Grace (Powell) Harrison.

George grew up in Barnsdall and received his education there, graduating from Barnsdall High School in 1953. After school, he joined the United States Army. In his working years, he was engaged in accounting and oil field chemical sales.

He found enjoyment in many simple and meaningful parts of life. George enjoyed Oklahoma University football, golfing, and teaching Sunday school. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, a devotion that remained at the heart of his life.

George is survived by his wife, Doris Harrison. He also leaves his sons, Dennis Harrison and his wife, Ladona, and Paul Harrison; his daughter-in-law, Sherri Crawford; and his sister, Maudie Duncan six grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He will be remembered with love by those who knew him and shared in his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Conway Harrison; his mother, Leota Grace Harrison; his brothers, Jack Harrison, Connie Harrison, and Dale Harrison; his son, Chuck Harrison; and his great-grandson, Hugh Harrison.

George Dean Harrison’s life was marked by dedication to his work, service to his country, faith expressed through teaching Sunday school, and deep love for his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
