Gregory Bud Crutchfield passed away on September 2, 2026, in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born on August 14, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bud and Virginia (Cooper) Crutchfield.
Greg grew up in Skiatook and received his education there. He later attended OSU/Okmulgee. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army 1966-1968, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and commitment.
In his working years, Greg was a welder for American Airlines. Beyond his career, he was known for the interests and activities that brought him joy. He married Martha Elizabeth “Mardi” Dunaway November 14, 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma making their home in Broken Arrow, Skiatook and Owasso. He loved singing and directing the church choir, sharing both his voice and his faith with others. He was also a wildlife enthusiast who enjoyed spelunking and home renovations, pursuits that reflected both curiosity and energy.
Above all, Greg will be remembered by the family who were such an important part of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mardi Crutchfield; his son, Nathan Crutchfield; stepdaughters, Theresa Lee and Victoria Lesco, his sister, Polla Jordan; and his brother, Rick Crutchfield. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Vanessa Hines, Zoe Bright, Megan Byron, Alex Collier, Carter Crutchfield, and Darren Crutchfield, who will carry forward his memory with love. His legacy continues as well in his six great-grandchildren, Julien and Addison Byron, and Emelia, Elizabeth, Evelynn, and Elaina Hines. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Crutchfield; his mother, Virginia Crutchfield; his brother, Roger Crutchfield; and his sister, Linda Brooks.
Greg Bud Crutchfield’s life was marked by service, hard work, faith, and devotion to family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
