Harold D. Gerard Sr., beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. He was born on December 5, 1954, in Alliance, Ohio, where he was raised and received his education.
Harold proudly served in the United States Navy from March 16, 1973, to July 16, 1974. Following his service, he pursued a career as a mechanic, lending his expertise to Byers Chevrolet and Osage Ford before later becoming self-employed. His dedication to his craft was evident in the quality of work he delivered, earning him the respect and admiration of those who knew him in the automotive community.
Outside of his professional life, Harold embraced a variety of hobbies and interests. He found joy in attending flea markets, fishing, and working on vehicles, but his heart truly belonged to the outdoors. He especially loved spending time at the lake and relished in summertime activities that brought family and friends together.
Harold is survived by his children, Harold Gerard Jr. and his wife Whitney, and Erica Morgans and her husband David Moore. He leaves behind a legacy of love with eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, in addition to his brothers Jeff Gerard, Michael Kelly, and sisters Jenny Cruz, and Rosie Tolbert. Harold also cherished the relationships he had with several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Gerard and Rose Ann (Davis) Lake, as well as his grandson Tristan Hartman, and six siblings.
Harold D. Gerard Sr. will be remembered not only for his hard work and dedication but also for the warmth and love he shared with everyone around him. His spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
