Howard Delaney Bowlin

Graveside services for Howard D. Bowlin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Osage Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Jesse Madaffari officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Howard was born August 30, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to H.D. “Doc” and Iva Lee (Cooper) Bowlin. Howard grew up and received his education in Skiatook where he graduated with the Class of 1956. Howard married Sharon Kay Isch on December 9, 1961. Howard entered into the United States Army in 1961 and received his honorable discharge in 1963. Howard was active and a volunteer for the Skiatook Fire Department from 1958 to 1978 and was the Fire Chief. Howard was employed with McDonnell-Douglas from 1966 to 1994 where he was a welder, Trinity Industries from 1970-1972 and was a Tulsa Vo-Tech welding Instructor from 1979 to 1982.

Howard was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife Sharon.

Howard is survived by his son: Jeffrey Bowlin and wife Janine and children: Sarah Bowlin and Hannah Bowlin, daughter: Kelly Landis and husband Donnie and children: Cody Landis and Casey Landis, daughter: Kristen Elliott and husband Gary and children: Grant Elliott and Connor Elliott, one sister: Rosalyn (Bowlin) Devers and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Jeffrey Bowlin, Donnie Landis, Casey Landis, Gary Elliott, Grant Elliott and Connor Elliott.

The family of Howard D. Bowlin entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
