Janice’s passion for life was reflected not only in her service but also in her personal interests. She enjoyed silversmithing, crafting beautiful jewelry, and spending cherished moments with her horses. Her adventures extended to the open road, where she found joy in riding her Harley, often accompanied by her infectious laughter and teasing spirit.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Queen and his wife, Sharon; her grandchildren, Blake Payne, Devon Payne; and her great-granddaughter, Nina Payne. Janice is reunited in eternal rest with her husband, Steve Whalen; her daughter, Nina Payne; her parents, Alfred Monrow Queen and Marie Elizabeth (Martin) Queen; and her sisters, Vickie Weeden and Linda Whalen. Their memories together will linger on in the hearts of those who knew them.
