Jonathan Charles Best Sr.

Jonathan Charles Best Sr., of Skiatook, Oklahoma, passed away on September 20, 2026, in Hominy, Oklahoma at the age of 69. He was born on May 4, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joseph Monroe and Cleo Muriel (Costiloe) Best.

Jonathan will be remembered as a retired rancher whose life reflected hard work and a deep connection to the land. He also found great enjoyment in hunting and fishing, pastimes that brought him pleasure and reflected his appreciation for the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cleo Best; and his son, Jonathan Charles Best Jr.

Jonathan’s memory will be cherished by his children, Brandi (Eric) Tippit, Tyfany (Doug) Edwards, Jason Best, and Cody (Kelcie) Best. He is also survived by his brothers, David (Pam) Best, Timothy (Vonda) Best, Phillip Best, 12 grandchildren: Paytyn, Kimberlee, Xavier, Ethan, Braden, Kaibree, Kolton, Averi, Brody, Kenzee, Kellen, Henry and 4 great grandchildren.
