Judy E. Oxley, known for her warmth and kindness, passed away surrounded by family on January 20, 2026, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Born on March 8, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Judy grew up as the proud granddaughter of Captain M. D. Ramage who instilled in her a love of water, a strong work ethic, and a deep dedication to the Lord.
On September 3, 1967, she married Lee Forrest Oxley Jr. in Allen Park, Michigan. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, sharing a life filled with joyful moments and cherished memories. Throughout her life, Judy embraced her role as a dedicated mother and grandmother, finding immense joy in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved children: Jay Charles Oxley, Sally Ann Townsend-Wellons, Cheryl Leann Vogel, and Roger Allen Oxley, as well as nineteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren who will carry forward her loving spirit.
Judy’s contributions extended beyond her family, as she was deeply committed to her community. She enjoyed going to church and engaging in community service, including disaster relief efforts. Her passion for helping others and her unwavering faith guided her actions and inspired those around her. She cherished her time spent with family, where her laughter and warmth resonated, creating lasting bonds that will be remembered fondly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Forrest Oxley Jr., and her children: John Glenn Oxley, Forrest DuWayne Oxley, Glenn Lee Oxley, Marlon Kevin Oxley, and Beverly Jane Smith. Judy will also be reunited in spirit with her parents, Charles Elgin Hall and June Margaret (Ramage) Hall, her grandchildren Bobby Farmer, Jerry Farmer, and Jimmy Oxley and her brothers William Dilmus Hall and Charles Michael Hall.
Judy E. Oxley’s legacy of love, community devotion, and family ties will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched throughout her remarkable life.
