Ladonna Darlene Thompson, born on January 7, 1968, in Ramona, Oklahoma to Robert Eugene and Joyce (Wear) Russell, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Avant, Oklahoma. She was a cherished member of her community and left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Ladonna was well-educated and grew up in the Ramona area, where she created many fond memories that shaped her into the person she became. Throughout her career, she worked for various businesses, demonstrating her adaptability and dedication in every role she took on.
Ladonna's love for family was evident in everything she did. She is survived by her children, Joseph Maltby, Robert Maltby, and Donnie Maltby, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her eight beloved grandchildren including Chasity and one great-grandchild, each of whom she adored dearly. Ladonna is also survived by her brother, Eddie Russell, and enjoyed the company of a host of other relatives and friends who supported her throughout her life.
While she had her professional pursuits, Ladonna found immense joy in her hobbies. She loved working puzzles, which provided her a sense of peace and accomplishment. Additionally, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs, moments that brought her happiness and fulfillment.
Ladonna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joyce Russell; her husband, Danny Maltby; and two sisters, Mildred Russell and Judith Russell. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of her surviving family members, who carry on her spirit of love and kindness.
Ladonna Darlene Thompson lived a life full of love and dedication, touching the lives of many. She will be remembered for her warmth, commitment to her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
