Linda Kay Loftis, born June 9, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, in Sperry, Oklahoma. Her seventy-eight years were marked by compassion, strength, and an unwavering dedication to those she cherished.

Linda’s journey began in the heart of Oklahoma City, where she was welcomed into the world by her parents, Jack and Lottie Bell (Ingle) Loftis. From an early age, Linda demonstrated warmth and generosity that endeared her to family and friends alike. Her upbringing fostered deep roots of caring and connection, principles she carried with her throughout her life. She grew up in Oklahoma City where she attended Sequoyah Grade School, Taft Junior High and Northwest Classen High School where she graduated in 1966. Linda also attended Kansas State University, thus her love for purple.

Linda’s friends and family were always at the center of her heart. She is remembered and survived by her son, William Monson Jr., her granddaughter, Jacklyn Monson, and her brother, James Loftis, and wife Jan. Additional surviving relatives are nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends. Each of these relationships were sources of deep joy for Linda, and she touched the lives of all who knew her with grace and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jack and Lottie Bell Loftis, her dear niece Lezlie Boggs, and her partner Jim Roberts, whose memories she held close to her heart.

Linda’s impact extended far beyond her immediate friends and family. She became a pillar of strength within her community, always ready with words of encouragement, a listening ear, or a gentle smile. She cared deeply for those around her and built steadfast friendships that enriched her world. With her specific career as a Realtor in Skiatook and personal milestones with Chinowth & Cohen where she received many awards, she was also Ward 4 Skiatook City Councilor, Active with the Skiatook Chamber of Commerce where she was a Past President, and Owasso Chamber of Commerce where she was an ambassador, her most important achievements were the deep, meaningful connections she built with others. Instead of measuring her life by material things, her true impact-her legacy- is the love, emotional support, and lasting memories she left behind in the hearts of her family and friends.

Loved ones and friends will gather to honor Linda’s life and remember her remarkable spirit on July 15, 2026. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church (West Rogers Campus), located at 825 West Rogers Boulevard, Skiatook, Oklahoma. Scott Neighbors will be officiating. Interment will follow at Osage Gardens Cemetery, 2254 W Rogers Blvd, Skiatook, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers: Chris Edwards, Rick Postier, Chris Payne, Taylor Chinowth, Leland Chinowth, AB Bayouth and Lane White. Honorary Pallbearers, Jim Annas, Steve Haley, Billy Wakefield, Omar Bayouth, Will Anderson, Mike Hall, Brad White.

Linda Kay Loftis’s memory will live on through her friends and family, and all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed, and forever treasured for her unwavering love, her quiet strength, and the gentle kindness she so freely bestowed.

We will miss hearing her say “See you kids on the streets”
