Lois Elaine Kerns, born on October 28, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in her beloved hometown, Tulsa. She was the daughter of J.C. Brown and Reba (Mizell) Brown and grew up immersed in the community, receiving her education at Rogers High School.
Throughout her life, Lois dedicated herself to her career as a housekeeper at the Warren Building, where her commitment and diligence were admired by many. She approached her work with a sense of pride and devotion that resonated with her colleagues and the families who benefited from her care.
Lois was not only a dedicated worker but also a passionate individual with diverse interests. She had a love for shopping for antiques, which spoke to her appreciation for history and craftsmanship. The thrill of discovering hidden treasures drew her to garage sales, where she enjoyed spending countless hours. Traveling also filled her heart with joy, allowing her to explore new places and create lasting memories.
Lois is survived by her loving children, Ronnie Norris and his wife Patty, Debbie Wisdom and her husband Raymond, David Norris and his wife Shelly, and Michael Norris and his wife Berri, and brothers, James Brown and his wife Mary and Jerry Brown and his wife Diane. She leaves behind a cherished legacy, including numerous grandchildren: David Lee Wisdom, Nathan Norris, RuthAnn Holbrook, Miranda Davis, Savanna Copenhaver, Ronnie Norris, Jessica Turner, Megan Badillo, Caleb Norris, Noah Norris, Brandon Norris, Cordell Norris, and Zach Norris, along with twenty-eight great-grandchildren who will carry her love forward.
She was predeceased by her parents, J.C. and Reba Brown, husband, Billy Kerns; her son Timmy Norris and his wife Eva; her brother Larry Brown and his wife Ladonna; and her grandson Christian Norris. Lois will be remembered not just for her accomplishments, but for the warmth of her spirit and the love she fostered within her family. Her presence will be sorely missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
