Celebration of Life for Lori Ann Howell will be held in the spring of 2026 near the family home in Fort Supply.

Lori Ann Howell, born on December 5, 1960, in Winfield, Kansas to Dorth “Bud” and Dorothy (Payne) Tredway, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Lori was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and educator who touched the lives of many throughout her journey.

Lori’s early life in Burden, Kansas, where she graduated high school, set the stage for her lifelong passion for music as well as teaching and nurturing young minds. She pursued her teaching degree at Emporia State University and furthered her education at Northwestern State University, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree. In May of 1990, Lori married John Pat Howell in Middleberg, Oklahoma, and together they built a life filled with love and dedication to education.

Lori’s career took her to Cherokee, Alva, Alex, Middleberg, and finally after several years she retired from Fort Supply School where she and Pat continued to reside on the family farm until 2024 when they moved to Skiatook to be near family. Their shared commitment to teaching and community left an indelible mark on the lives they encountered.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lori was a music enthusiast and talented musician, playing two seasons at Silver Dollar City as well as playing 7 years in a progressive country dance band. Her creativity flourished through her love for photography and crafts. Known for her selflessness, she cherished opportunities to help others and spread joy within her community.

Lori is survived by her beloved husband, Pat, and their two children, Jennie Howell and Chris Howell, wife Brandy and their two sons Hunter and Slayden. She is also survived by her brother, Doug Tredway, wife Pam, and, nieces , nephews and friends who will remember her warmth and kindness.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Dorothy Tredway, and her brother, Steve Tredway. As we celebrate the life of Lori Ann Howell, we honor her memory as a devoted family member, skilled educator, and a vibrant presence whose legacy will continue to inspire.
