Margot (Marrs) Treat, born on August 28, 1936, in Sperry, Oklahoma to Charles A and Nelle (Wilhite) Marrs, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma. Margot was a loving mother, cherished friend, and a devoted member of her community. She grew up in Skiatook, where she received her and proudly graduated with the Class of 1954. Her academic journey continued at Oklahoma State University, reflecting her commitment to learning and growth.
Margot's professional life was marked by her work as a realtor for Ruth Robbins/Coldwell Bankers, where her dedication and integrity earned her the respect of her colleagues and clients alike. In addition to her career, she took pride in being a homemaker, nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving environment.
A passionate artist, Margot loved painting and found joy in expressing herself through her art. Her interests extended beyond creativity; she was actively involved in the community. Margot was a proud member of the ESA and a significant figure in the German Girl Society, dedicating many years to fostering connections and camaraderie among her peers.
Margot is survived by three sons, Robert Charles Treat, John David Treat, and Michael Alan Treat and wife, Cindee, as well as her daughter-in-law, Christy Treat. She is also mourned by her brother, John Marrs and wife, Julia, and leaves behind three beloved grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is remembered by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who cherished her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nell Marrs, her husband RB Treat, and her son, Steven Treat. Margot's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed.
Visitation with family will be held on January 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1000 South Lombard Lane, Skiatook, OK 74070. A Funeral Service will take place the following day, January 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, also at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel.
Margot Treat's life was a testament to love, service, and community, and she leaves behind fond memories that will be cherished forever.
