Marilyn Dean Loveless, a cherished member of the Collinsville community and beloved family matriarch, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 81, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Born on January 4, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Marilyn was the daughter of John Douglas and Mary Francis Ozment. She grew up in Tulsa, where she graduated from Tulsa McClain High School in 1962 before pursuing education at Beauty College.
Marilyn’s professional career was marked by her 18 years of dedicated service as a corporate secretary at Tulsa Heaters. In addition to her secretarial role, she shared her love of swimming by teaching others as a swimming instructor. Her commitment to her career and her nurturing spirit resonated with those around her, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike.
On August 30, 1963, she married Danny Patrick Loveless in Tulsa, beginning a loving partnership that spanned 62 years. The couple initially made their home in Tulsa before relocating to Collinsville in 1973, where they continued to build a life together filled with love and laughter.
Marilyn found joy not only in her work but also in her hobbies. She was a talented artist and avid photographer where she often had 2 or 3 cameras going at a time capturing the memories of her family and friends. Above all, she treasured spending time with her loved ones, nurturing deep connections that enriched her life.
Marilyn leaves behind her devoted husband, Danny Loveless; four beloved children: Natalie Jane Dolan, Danny Patrick Loveless Jr. and wife Debbie, Jennifer Lynn Loveless, and Matthew Paul Loveless and wife Denise. She was also the proud grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and a great-grandmother of twenty-three great-grandchildren. Her legacy continues through the love and memories shared with them. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, John Ozment, along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She rejoins her parents, John Douglas and Mary Francis Ozment; her brother, Jim Ozment; her sisters, Sonya Muse and Darla Byers; and her son-in-law, Mike Dolan, in eternal rest.
Visitation with family will be held on September 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook, Oklahoma. A graveside service will take place at Whispering Pines Cemetery in Colcord, Oklahoma, on September 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
Marilyn Dean Loveless will be remembered for her unwavering love, creative spirit, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
