Marvin Loyd Mitchell, born on September 15, 1949, in Perryton, Texas, to Clifford and Annie Mitchell, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. He grew up and received his education in Skiatook, where he attended Skiatook High School. Known for his dedication and craftsmanship, Marvin spent his career as a welder for John Zink, a role that exemplified his skill and commitment to his work.

On June 27, 1970, Marvin married his beloved wife, Patricia Gale Surritte in Skiatook, establishing a partnership marked by love and support. Throughout his life, Marvin enjoyed a variety of interests, including fishing and camping, which brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and driving racecars, pursuits that reflected his adventurous spirit.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Patty Mitchell; his brother, Leon Hugo Mitchell; his grandchildren: Christopher Hopkins, Megan McClain, Jett Mitchell, Alex Mitchell, Patryk Mitchell; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Edward Mitchell and Annie Virginia (Paslay) Mitchell; his brothers, Charles Mitchell and Bob Mitchell; and his children, Michelle Doran Khan and Marvin Loyd Mitchell Jr.

Marvin's life will be honored during a Visitation with Family at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook, Oklahoma, on May 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on May 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Both services will take place at the same location, 1000 South Lombard Lane, Skiatook, OK 74070.

Marvin Loyd Mitchell will be remembered for his contributions to his family, community, and profession, leaving behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of many.
