Paula Sue (Sanderson) Peavler, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Born on April 30, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Paula’s life was marked by devotion to family, faith, and community.
She grew up and was educated in Tulsa, graduating from Nathan Hale High School in 1964. Paula married Tommy Glen Peavler on September 26, 1970, in Tulsa, where they made their home before relocating to Skiatook in 1984. Throughout her life, she was known for her warmth and dedication.
Paula devoted much of her professional career as a secretary at a public service company in Tulsa and served as a secretary and receptionist at Immanuel Baptist Church for thirty years, where she was a cherished member of the congregation and an integral part of church life.
She enjoyed camping and cherished spending time with her loved ones, creating lasting memories and nurturing close family bonds.
Paula is survived by her daughter, Rachel Rebekah Peavler; her granddaughters, Nyla Rose Peavler and Tommie Rae Peavler; her brother, Rob Sanderson, and his wife Ann; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her presence.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline (Dotzel) Avery; her father, Roy Wesley Sanderson; her husband, Tommy Glen Peavler; and her sister, Mary Lou Wentworth.
A visitation with family will be held on April 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sien - Shelton Funeral Home, located at 1000 S Lombard Ln, Skiatook, Oklahoma. The graveside service will follow on April 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Osage Gardens Cemetery, 2254 W Rogers Blvd, Skiatook, Oklahoma.
Paula’s life was a testament to dedication, kindness, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
