Richard Anthony Kriege, known as Rick, passed away on April 27, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on January 16, 1964, in Le Mars, Iowa, Rick’s journey began with his early years in Skiatook, where he grew up and laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Rick graduated from Skiatook High School in 1982 and furthered his education at Tulsa Welding School, equipping himself with the skills that would characterize his professional career. He earned his livelihood as a professional painter, proudly working for Dan’s Painting, where his commitment to excellence was well recognized.

Rick was a man who cherished the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in fishing, gardening, and grilling, and he valued spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his children Ricky Kriege and wife Jessica, James Kriege, and Christopher Greene. He also leaves behind his father, Robert Kriege; siblings Lisa Gilmartin and Chris Buzzard, Lori Dodson and husband Dean, Angie Boswell and husband Rick; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Carol (Petersen) Makinson, and his son, Jeremy Holt.
