Ronald Dean Henson, born on July 19, 1949, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Raymond Floyd and Laura Robina (Lytle) Henson, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Ronald’s journey through life was marked by dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.

Ronald grew up in Barnsdall and attended public schools both there and in Bartlesville, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of learning and personal growth. From a young age, Ronald displayed a deep love for the simple joys in life and a sincere desire to help those around him.

A proud patriot, Ronald answered the call of duty and entered into the United States Army on April 3, 1969. He served his country with honor and integrity until his honorable discharge on March 26, 1971. His time in service was a testament to his strong character and sense of responsibility.

After his military service, Ronald continued to contribute in meaningful ways, working in landscaping at the Air Force base in Arizona. His dedication to his craft and the pride he took in his work were evident to all who knew him.

Those who shared time with Ronald remember his many passions. He loved music and was often found playing the guitar, bringing melodies and comfort to those around him. Tending to his lawn was more than a chore—it was a way to find peace and satisfaction in nurturing the world immediately around him. Most notably, Ronald found fulfillment in doing for others, always willing to offer a helping hand or a kind word.

Ronald’s legacy lives on in his beloved family. He is survived by his son Nathan Henson, daughter Angela Henson and bonus daughter Courtney Mary Glasscock, his sister Peggy Maldonado and her husband Manuel, his brother Tim Henson, five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Their recollections of his warmth, generosity, and steadfast presence will endure for generations to come.

He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Henson, mother Laura Henson, brother Raymond Edward Henson, sister Janette Marie Kesler, niece Nikki Maldonado, and grandson Matthew. Their memories remain intertwined with his, forming a tapestry of love and remembrance.

All who had the privilege of knowing Ronald remember him as a man of kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength—a life well lived, and a legacy cherished. His family, friends, and community will miss him deeply but remain forever grateful for the years shared in his company.
