Sandra Kay (Roberts) Ogles, age 84, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, formerly of Collins, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at her home. She was born September 26, 1941, in Corpus Christi, TX, to the late Leon Hayden Roberts and Frances Fulton Roberts. She was retired, and a member of Collins Baptist Church.
Throughout her career, she worked as a textile worker, seamstress, store clerk, bank teller, and municipal administrative assistant, but her true passion was in retail sales where she was owner and operator of numerous country stores in Southeast Arkansas including: Thomasson's Grocery in Monticello, Speedway Quick Stop in Dermott, Collins Grocery and Ogles Grocery in Collins, Arkansas. After her retirement in 2019, Sandy relocated to Skiatook, Oklahoma with caregivers Kinney Williams and Kay Brown.
No matter who Sandy was around, she always had a smile and was eager to help in whatever way she could. Her colorful personality and endless stories enabled her to easily make friends and entertain those who knew her. Sandy loved to hunt, fish, garden, knit, crochet, and was an excellent cook. Later in life, she had the opportunity to travel throughout the southern and western United States, where she and Doy were able to experience some of God's greatest natural beauty, and meet individuals that became lifelong friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Terry Leon Hale, one brother, Terry Fulton Roberts and wife Jolynn Roberts, one grandson, Trey Montgomery Hale, and husbands Tommy Brasher and Doy Ogles.
She is survived by two sons, Bill "Bobby" Hale (Donna) of Dumas, Arkansas and Raymie Hale (Gaylon) of Hazen Arkansas, brother Leon "Skipper" Roberts (Sandra) of Portland, Texas, sister-in-law Ann Roberts of Corpus Christi, Texas, bonus children, Betsy Ogles Orr (Gary), Sancy Ogles Courson (John), and John Ogles (Jill), 5 grandchildren, Shane Hale, Heath Hale, Seth Hale, Sandi Flynn and Kadi Thrower, nieces Kristi Roberts and Debbie Bradley, nephew Robby Roberts, 19 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
