Sharon Elaine Blakney, born January 12, 1947, in Liberal, Kansas to James Oliver and Donna Jean (Mickey) Springer, passed away on May 22, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She lived a remarkable and fulfilling life marked by dedication, hard work, and an enduring love for her family.

Sharon grew up and received her education in Tyrone, Oklahoma, and Liberal, Kansas, enriching the communities that shaped her early years. On July 2, 1963, she married Robert Leroy Blakney in Seneca, Kansas, and together they built a life across several Kansas cities including Moscow, Liberal, and Wichita before settling in Skiatook, Oklahoma in 1976. Her partnership with Robert was a steadfast foundation throughout her life.

Professionally, Sharon held the role of trucking company dispatch manager and was the proud owner and operator of Mobile Unlimited Transportation Company. Her leadership and entrepreneurial spirit were integral to her career, earning her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sharon’s passions were vividly expressed in her personal life. She was devoted to raising wiener dogs, enjoyed singing Karaoke with joy and enthusiasm, and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her greatest pleasure came from spoiling her grandchildren, a testament to her nurturing spirit and boundless affection.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Robert Blakney; her three children, David Leroy Blakney and his wife Michelle, Gary Eugen Blakney and his wife Tracy, and John Roberts Blakney and his wife Mandy; one sister, Kathy Lova Goode; and one brother, Forrest Leigh Springer. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Oliver and Donna Jean Springer, as well as two brothers, Charles Springer and Jimmy Laird Springer.

Sharon Elaine Blakney’s life was a beacon of love, dedication, and community. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family and all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
