Sharon Ann Reed

Sharon Ann Reed, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Skiatook, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Born on July 15, 1938, in Aurora, Illinois, she brought joy and compassion to the lives she touched as a dedicated registered nurse and a cherished family member.

Sharon's early life was rooted in Aurora, where she received her education and graduated from East High School. Her passion for caring for others led her to pursue a career in nursing, culminating in her position as the head nurse over the nursery at Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Her commitment to her profession and her patients was evident in the care and warmth she extended to countless families during her years in nursing.

On June 4, 1960, Sharon married Mervin Chester Reed in her hometown of Aurora. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership, and together they created a family that would continue to thrive in the values of kindness and support instilled by Sharon.

Sharon's life outside of work was filled with a variety of interests that brought her joy. She had a profound love for reading, enjoyed the challenge of working on jigsaw puzzles, and found pleasure in shopping and dining out. Traveling allowed her to explore new horizons, but it was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren that brought her the greatest happiness.

Sharon is survived by her children, Tammy Pietro and her husband Randy, and Victoria Spain and her husband Tim. She is also remembered fondly by her sister, Beverly Baals, her brother, Earl Stallmann, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

She joins her deceased family members in eternal rest, including her husband Mervin Reed, her parents Earl Prescott Stallmann and Martha Anna filipina Maria (Behrens) Stallmann, her brother Joel Stallmann, and her son-in-law Pete Jenkins.

Sharon Ann Reed will be dearly missed by those who knew her, but her legacy of compassion, love, and dedication will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
