Tanya Jean Anderson, born on October 27, 1975, in Springfield, Missouri to Jack Lee and Gayla Jean (Redfearn) Johnson, passed away on June 15, 2025, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Tanya's life was one of devotion, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Growing up in Skiatook, Tanya received her education and was a proud graduate of the class of 1994. Her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds led her to a fulfilling career. She worked for American Gymnastics and Emerald Academy in Skiatook, where she taught gymnastics to children, imparting not only skills but also confidence and joy. In addition to her work in gymnastics, Tanya served as a substitute teacher for Skiatook Public Schools, where her warmth and enthusiasm made a lasting impact on her students.

In her personal life, Tanya was a dedicated mother to her three children: Augustus Anderson and his wife, Katie; Clara Anderson and her husband, Hunter Stephens; and Faith Anderson. Tanya's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her roles as daughter, sister, and grandmother enriched her life immeasurably. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Jack and Rebecca Johnson, her brother Jack Johnson and his wife, Lisa, her granddaughter, Lottie Stephens, and her beloved grandmother, Donna Redfearn. Additionally, Tanya leaves behind two nephews, Remington Johnson and Hunter Johnson, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of loving friends and relatives.

Tanya had a multitude of interests that showcased her vibrant spirit. She loved fishing, often spending serene days by the water. Her talent for making scrapbooks for her family allowed her to preserve precious memories, while her skills in arts and crafts demonstrated her creative flair. An enthusiastic cook, she enjoyed trying new recipes and was well-known among her family for her culinary talents.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Tanya will remember her warmth, kindness, and laughter. She touched many lives throughout her journey and leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration.

Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Gayla Johnson, and her grandfather, Calvin Redfearn. As we honor her memory, we reflect on her many contributions to her family and community, ensuring her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
