Trudy Kay Evans, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday night, September 19th, 2025. Born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, Trudy spent her life devoted to her family and community, living many cherished years in Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Evans Sr., and her parents, Clifford and June Byrd.
Trudy is survived by her two sons: Gene Evans Jr. and wife Sonia of Skiatook, OK, and Chris Evans and wife Angela of Mustang, OK, who will forever carry her legacy of love, strength, and grace. She was a beloved sister to Gail Espinoza and Pam Peiffer, and a treasured friend to many.
Trudy’s greatest passion was being a devoted wife to Gene and the best mom two boys could ever ask for. Her life was filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for those she loved.
She was also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Amanda Mori (Darrell), Krista Aguilar (Fredi), Meighan Combs (Corey), Cody Evans, Ashlyn Evans, Hunter Evans (Jordan), and Jordan Ventris (Mark). Her love extended to six great-grandchildren, with one more blessing on the way.
Trudy is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and who will remember her with fondness and gratitude.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 10:00 AM at Osage Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Trudy’s beautiful life.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
