Wanda Jane Supernaw, a beloved member of the Skiatook community, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, just days shy of her 80th birthday. Born on July 22, 1945, in Skiatook, Wanda was the daughter of Bill and Jewell (Perigo) Agnew. She spent her childhood in Skiatook, where she formed the foundations of a life filled with laughter, love, and community spirit.
Wanda graduated from Skiatook High School in 1963, marking the beginning of a journey defined by hard work and dedication. She became self-employed as a barber in Skiatook, a profession that allowed her to not only share her skills but also connect with the many individuals who became her lifelong friends through the years. Her warmth and charm made each customer feel special, and her legacy will surely be remembered by all who sat in her chair.
In 1962, Wanda married Charles Warren Supernaw, and together they built a life that was rich with family and friendship. Wanda took great joy in her role as a wife and mother to their three children: Scottie Supernaw, Brandy Supernaw, and Christian Supernaw. She embraced being a grandmother to six grandchildren, at which she delighted in attending their sporting events, proudly cheering them on. Furthermore, her heart grew even more with the blessing of nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought endless joy to her life.
In addition to her devoted family life, Wanda had many interests that enriched her days. She was an avid fan of the University of Oklahoma, passionately supporting her team through every season. She also enjoyed the camaraderie of playing bingo, a pastime that brought together friends and neighbors in hearty competition and laughter.
Wanda is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Jewell Agnew, six siblings, and one great-grandson. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Supernaw, along with their children and grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit and the values she instilled in them.
Wanda Jane Supernaw will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her compassion for those around her, and her vibrant spirit that touched many lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
