Gene Endicott

Gene Endicott, a truck driver, passed away on January 6, 2026, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. He was born on March 4, 1943, in Golden, Oklahoma, and spent his formative years in Idabel, where he received his education and graduated from Idabel High School in 1962.

Gene dedicated a significant part of his life to his career at Mercer Trucking, where he was known for his commitment to the job and his reliability as a driver. His work allowed him to explore the vast landscapes of the country, a passion that complemented his love of the outdoors.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Gene found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing and hunting. These hobbies not only brought him happiness but also provided opportunities to create lasting memories with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Robert Endicott; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who cherished him dearly.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Endicott and May "Francis" Smith, as well as his daughter, Lagena Endicott. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
