Austin "Gene" Moss

Austin Gene Moss, age 94 of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, April 6, 2023 in Skiatook.

Gene was born August 19, 1928 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Austin Joseph and Hattie Faye (Slagle) Moss. Gene grew up and received his education in Hominy where he graduated in 1946. Gene also furthered his higher education with three years of college. Gene met the love of his life Jacqueline Joyce LaZelle and they were married June 6, 1949 in Tulsa at the Boston Avenue Methodist Church. Gene and Jacqueline moved to Skiatook in 1954 where they have made their home since that time. Gene was employed with Lee C. Moore / Wool Slayer Company in Tulsa where he was a draftsman for 47 years. Gene loved his Lord, his wife, family and  loved playing golf. Gene was a runner and was a member of the Tulsa Running Club for 20 years and he loved woodworking. Gene was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Skiatook.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; Austin and Hattie Moss, son; Duane Gene Moss and by one brother; Duane Hyle Smith.

Gene is survived by his wife of 73 years Jacqueline Moss, son; Daman Lynn Moss, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are; Anthony Kemble, William Kemble, Brady Reed, Gideon Goodeagle, OJ Littlecook Jr and David Claubaugh.
