“Marie left this earth aged 86 to reside with the Lord Jesus Christ on October 8, 2023.
She was born January 15, 1937, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Florence (Cundiff) and Ace Langham. Marie grew up in Northwest Arkansas living in a historic log cabin in Monte Ne, Arkansas.
Marie moved with her family to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area where Marie attended Postal Management courses at Tulsa Community College; ultimately, becoming Postmaster of the Eucha, Oklahoma Post Office. She also loved to travel for work and pleasure visiting locations coast to coast.
She loved quilting and made dozens of quilts for her family and friends. Her other love was her dogs over the years as well as collecting and giving Precious Moments.
Marie raised 5 boys and took great pride in their accomplishments. She loved them, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Art Wallace, David Cawthon II, and Harry Laughlin as well as son, David Cawthon III, sister Glenda Lawson, and her brother Jack Langham who held a special place in her heart.
Marie was survived by four sons and spouses, Janet and Brian Laughlin, Toni and Tim Laughlin, Alane and Jackie Laughlin, and Mary and Kevin Cawthon; daughter in-law Janet Cawthon, brother Otis Craig; eight grandchildren, Tanner Laughlin, Byron Laughlin, James Laughlin, Kolbi McNutt, Brodie McNutt, Amanda and husband Jake Andrews, Allison Cawthon, and Sarah Cawthon along with two great grandchildren, Claire Andrews and Eli Andrews.
Marie will be laid to rest at Little Flock Cemetery in Little Flock, Arkansas.”
