Ida “Louise” Gragg-Collins went home to God’s Kingdom on Wednesday September 6, 2023, at her home in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Louise was 92 years old.
Louise was born on April 28th, 1931, to Edward Freland Gragg, and Rhoda Emaline Johnson-Gragg. Louise travelled back and forth from California and Oklahoma as a child with her parents. On one of those trips back to California she met the love of her life, Lloyd Scott Collins. When Louise’s family moved back to Oklahoma, Lloyd followed so he could be with the woman of his dreams. Louise and Lloyd married on December 16th, 1948. Together, they had 3 children, Larry Collins, Karen Collins-Hafner, and Scott (Scotty) Collins. Louise loved having her family over for dinners, holidays, and visits. Louise has 14 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
Louise’s life was full of love, and those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts and life exceed what anyone could ask for. Louise was a talented woman with an incredible knack to locate garage sales from miles away. Louise enjoyed finding broken or “ugly” items and fixing them up to resale in her massive garage sales that people from Arkansas and Kansas would travel to Avant, Ok to catch a bargain! Louise also had a green thumb. She always had beautiful flowers and plants in and around her home. We will miss her greatly!
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Louise held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ.
