Kimmie Dickson Obituary

If you are attending the Visitation or the Service a mask is required. If you have been running a fever or not feeling well in the past 24 to 48 hours please do not attend.

Kimmie Dawn Dickson, 50, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life into her eternal life on Sunday, January 31, 2021 surrounded by family and close friends.

Kimmie was born August 4, 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wilda Jewell Housdan (Morrison) and Carl Housdan. She attended Skiatook High School. At the age of 34, Kimmie obtained her GED. She spent most of her life as a clerk at various businesses. She also had a lawn and landscaping business for several years, which she enjoyed. Mowing and landscaping were her therapy.

Kimmie was an avid believer in Christ. She spent many years in prison ministry. She had her own unique way of witnessing to people and bringing them to the lord, even strangers. Her strong faith spilled over into all her children and their many friends. They often talk and speak of the scriptures she shared with them through the years. Kimmie loved to dance and enjoyed listening to Country and Rock and Roll music. Playing pool was another favorite of hers. One of the things she cherished most was spending time with her kids and grandkids and taking them fishing. She loved all her family deeply and without conditions. Anyone who knew Kimmie knew she had a wild streak that was a mile long. She loved hard, fought often but cared deeply. She lived her life to the fullest and loved God along her journey. Her to-the-point observations, feisty attitude and loving heart will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilda J. Housdan and Carl Housdan, brothers; Robert Shatwell and Joshua Housdan.

She is survived by her children; Sonya Housdan and husband Scottie of Tulsa, OK, Wesley Housdan and wife Crystal of Turley, OK, Dustin Burch of Tulsa, OK and Zoie Engles of Tulsa, OK, grandchildren; Dorien, Peppy, Dominique, Anthony, Airauna, Kyrie, Shelby, Kimberly, Harmony, Emerson and Serenity, friend; Greg Sasser of Tulsa, OK, a host of aunts, uncles, niece, nephew and cousins, and many other family and friends.
