Richard Earl Goetz

Richard Earl Goetz, age 80, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 12, 2021 at his Skiatook residence.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.

Richard was born November 8, 1940 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Cletus and Mary Louise (Purcell) Goetz. Richard grew up and received his education in in Kentucky where he graduated from high school in 1959. Richard entered into the United States Army in 1959 and was discharged in 1963. Richard married Frances Melinda Rose on August 26, 1978 in Tulsa where they made their home. Richard was employed with TD Williamson Inc. where he was a Mill Shop Supervisor from 1971 until his retirement in 1996. Richard liked fishing, motorcycles, wood working, going to the Moose Lodge playing cards and playing pool, boating and spending time with his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Cletus and Mary Goetz, wife; Frances Goetz and by two brothers.

Richard is survived by his children; Joseph Rogers, Al Viles, Tina Trout, Suzan Mayberry and Kathy Wynn, brother; Joseph Goetz, sisters; Darlene Slough and Vannah Robbins, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are; Steven Wynn, Austin Wynn, Christopher Trout, Jacob Viles and Timothy Rogers.

Music for the service will be; “When I Get To Where I’m Going and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Music for the video will be; “From A Window Seat” and “Love Will Keep Us Alive”.

The family of Richard Earl Goetz entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
