Shirley Ann Cornett, age 84, of Avant went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, November 5, 2023 at her Avant residence.
Shirley was born March 5, 1939 in Avant, Oklahoma to Clifford and Dulcie (Fetterhoff) Street. Shirley grew up and received her education in Avant where she graduated in 1957. Shirley married Charley Noble Cornett on August 20, 1956 in Skiatook, Oklahoma making their home in Avant since that time. Shirley was a Beautician most of her life and was musician Umy and The Goodtimers. On September 16, 2016 Shirley married Pete Smith making their home in Avant. Shirley loved playing music, baking, sewing and cooking for her family and entertaining them Shirley was a member of the Avant Baptist Church.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Charley, three brothers, three sisters and by one grandson.
Shirley is survived by her husband Pete Smith of the home, two sons; Gene Cornett and Roger Cornett, one brother; Floyd Street, one sister; Dorothy Turner, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren several nices and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be; “When We All Get To Heaven”, “Wings Of A Dove” and “Far Side Banks Of Jordan”.
Pallbearers will be; Dustin Cornett, Brandon Cornett, Zachary Spencer, Hunter Hansen, Justin Patrick and Danny Goff.
The family of Shirley Cornett entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
